HR Generalist Full Time Indirect Knoxville, TN, US

The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to management and employees. This position is responsible for executing and supporting a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation, performance management, compliance, engagement initiatives, and workforce development. HR Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting organizational goals through effective HR practices.

Employee Relations & Compliance Serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters and provide guidance to managers and employees.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Interpret and administer company policies and procedures.

Support corrective action, performance improvement, and conflict resolution processes.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruitment activities for hourly and salaried positions.

Lead new hire onboarding and orientation programs.

Partner with leaders to support workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies.

Manage leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and short-term disability.

Performance Management & Development Support performance evaluation processes and talent review initiatives.

Assist managers with employee coaching, performance improvement plans, and development opportunities.

Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.

HR Operations & Reporting Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS systems.

Generate HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics.

Support audits, compliance reporting, and HR projects.

Recommend process improvements to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.

Employee Engagement Support engagement, recognition, retention, and wellness initiatives.

Facilitate employee feedback programs, stay interviews, and action planning.

Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist with progressive responsibility

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environment preferred.

Demonstrated experience handling employee relations investigations and employment law compliance.

Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout manufacturing and office environments.

Ability to conduct work in both office and production settings.

This position operates in both an office and manufacturing environment and may require interaction with employees on the production floor. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn when entering designated production areas.
