The Challenge:The selected candidate will be responsible for business affairs legal work for a dynamic entertainment company and will work closely with internal business clients and senior in-house counsel. This position will negotiate, draft, and track a high-volume of legal agreements relating to entertainment, technology, intellectual property and related matters. This is a unique opportunity within the Business Affairs team to work across multiple practice areas and gain a broad knowledge of the videogame business. This position is an in-person role based in our New York City office.What You’ll Take On: Draft, analyze and negotiate commercial agreements for all aspects of entertainment content creation, production, marketing and distribution.Support senior attorneys across practice groups that include music, entertainment, sports, technology, advertising, and all aspects of console, online and mobile gaming.Structure and analyze deals within a matrix of rights held by third parties, such as content distributors, hardware manufacturers, sports leagues, record labels, music publishers, actors and other talent, technology licensors, software developers, entertainment companies, advertising agencies, ancillary merchandise vendors, data analytics providers, information technology vendors and similar entities.Advise internal clients regarding general business and contract issues, as well as copyright, technology, corporate, regulatory and related matters.Provide day-to-day legal and business affairs counsel to highly creative business units.Assess risks associated with highly complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.Serve as part of the Legal team helping Take-Two’s publishing labels create the most innovative and creative products in the most efficient way possible.What You Bring: 3-5+ years experience in-house or within a law firm.Expertise in contracting issues, with excellent drafting skills.Experience with complex corporate or intellectual property transactions, including content creation, production, clearance, marketing and distribution.Ranked as one of the most creative and innovative places to work, creativity, innovation, efficiency, diversity and philanthropy are among the core tenets of our organization and are integral drivers of our continued success.Our employees bond, blow-off steam, and flex some creative muscles - through corporate boot camp classes, company parties, game release events, monthly socials, and team challenges.Medical (HSA & FSA), dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan, commuter benefits, in-house wellness program, broad learning & development opportunities, a charitable giving platform with company match and more!Fitness allowance, employee discount programs, free games & events and stocked pantries.However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
