Counselor - Evening/Night

Pay Range: Targeted salary of $50,000 based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 to 5, with some occasional nights and weekends hours.

Travel: The Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) makes connections and creates experiences with the next generation of Sooners by supporting domestic and international freshman, transfer, and concurrent students throughout the application and decision process. Our team operates from Norman and across the state, nation, and world, partnering with faculty, staff, parents, counselors, and communities to provide guidance and resources to prospective students. Our goal is to build a vibrant OU community by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational, service, involvement, and community experiences. This includes developing partnerships, representing the institution at events, guiding applicants through the admissions process, and supporting enrollment goals.
Advises prospective and admitted students on educational planning, academic programs, and career pathways
Reviews and evaluates student applications in alignment with institutional policies and procedures
Plans, develops, and implements admissions and outreach events to support recruitment goals
Represents the institution at college fairs, high school visits, transfer events, outreach events, and other recruitment-related activities
Builds and maintains strategic partnerships to enhance outreach, recruitment, and admissions efforts
Ensures all admissions activities are in compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
Travels to attend recruitment events and build partnerships including evenings and weekends for events, activities, or conferences
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak recruitment periods or special projects.
This position is fully remote and located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
