In the heart of The Dalles, Oregon, Adventist Health Columbia Gorge has served the Columbia River Gorge community since 1901. We are comprised of a 49-bed hospital, various medical offices, home health, a birthing center and a vast scope of services located throughout The Dalles and the surrounding areas. Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.
Education and Work Experience:

~ Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution: Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP: Preferred
Phlebotomy certificate: Facility Specific License/Certifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or California Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical Assistant - NCCT (NCCT) or Certified Medical Assistant- NHA (CMA-NHA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Medical Assistant (MA) or American Medical Tech Board MA (MA-AMT): Required
Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
Performs audiometry and vision testing.
