Special Education Teacher Position | Public Charter School

Job Description Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Certified or Permit)
Reports To: Coordinator/Case Manager, Instructional Coach – Special Education, or Director of Special Education

We’re looking for a passionate Special Education Permit Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support for students with disabilities. You’ll implement IEPs, manage classroom behavior, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Deliver individual and small-group instruction aligned with the general education curriculum
Consult with teachers and staff to support student learning
Participate in Child Study, eligibility, and interdisciplinary team meetings
Bachelor’s degree in education
Enrollment in a certification program and eligibility for a special education permit
Knowledge of K-12 special education requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools
Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information

Work in varied school settings, including outdoors
