About the job Senior Structural Engineer
Our client is seeking -A Senior Structural Engineer with ten to fifteen years of experience for our Atlanta office. This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of steel, concrete, and masonry commercial/institutional, federal and Industrial buildings, both in new and existing construction, utility infrastructure, roadways, erosion control measures and coordinating multifaceted projects. We are seeking innovative, results-oriented individuals who value high standards of performance and collaborative teamwork.
Essential Engineering Skills and Functions:
structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & industrial projects
Design of steel, concrete, and masonry commercial/institutional, federal and Industrial buildings, both in new and existing construction.
Manage project team for budget and schedule control
Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred. Must understand database concepts. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files.
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
Ability to travel
Work closely with other offices, such as Raleigh, Atlanta structural groups to complete projects and tasks.
S. degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program required.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
10 to 15 years of structural engineering experience.
Experience with computer software programs and analysis systems (such as RISA, AutoCAD, Revit, RamSS, Etabs, Enercalc, etc.).
Project Management experience and/or certifications
Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
Active local industry involvement is a plus
Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
