4C2 is currently seeking a JOURNEYMAN WELDER. Individual is responsible for permanently fitting and welding of various metals to include but not limited to; steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts using high heat application to form a permanent bond. May specialize in one of hundreds of different processes of welding to join metals together. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws

Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical,

Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Determine welding position and type of metal to be fused

Operate heavy equipment and machinery in the performance of these essential duties

Work with and around hazardous materials, as well as at heights and in confined spaces in the

performance if these essential duties

Maintain valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company policy

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for employee job performance

Requirements Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, varying fumes or odors; and work in ditches/excavations

Work at heights, such as by working on ladders, scaffolds, platforms, tops of single and multi-story buildings, as well as working in confined spaces such as underneath single story and multi-story buildings

Safety Sensitive This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position as it requires the ability to concentrate for long periods of time while: operating, maintaining, and monitoring heavy equipment, machinery, and motor vehicles. This work will often be done with and around hazardous materials at elevated heights and confined spaces. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Knowledge of welding, structural brake forming and other fabrication processes along with automated welding techniques

Ability to weld different types of material such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum

All employees must provide and maintain the required tool inventory for this position

Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision and minimal errors requiring re-work

Ability and willingness to work overtime and non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required

Ability to travel and work outof town is a plus
