This role is a unique opportunity to join a high performing team and contribute to a growth area of the business with significant scope to influence and develop AIG’s property portfolio in the North.Responsibilities:This role will focus on underwriting new and renewal business to help drive the profitable growth of our Commercial Property Product but as a P&C Underwriter by working on creative solutions for multi-line mid-market risks .Achieve satisfactory ratings on all underwriting quality reviews.What you’ll need to succeedCommercial property underwriting experience combined with technical insurance knowledge.A desire to develop your property underwriting technical capability, including in relation to reinsurance and multinational insurance programmesExperience working with regional brokers and a desire to proactively expand your broker networkAbility to understand policy wordingsExperience and comfort working in a multi-stakeholder, collaborative environmentDesire to work in an entrepreneurial environment as a key contributor to the development of AIG’s Regional property portfolio in the NorthAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
