Loader / Unloader Job Description Job Summary The Loader/Unloader is responsible for safely loading and unloading products, materials, and freight from trucks, trailers, and containers. This position involves frequent physical activity and requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers. Move products and materials by hand or with appropriate material-handling equipment. Sort, stack, and organize products in designated warehouse areas. Verify products and quantities against shipping or receiving documents. Inspect incoming and outgoing products for visible damage. Palletize, wrap, and secure products as needed. Stage freight for shipping, receiving, or warehouse put-away. Maintain an organized loading dock and work area. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed. Follow proper lifting and material-handling procedures. Follow all company safety policies and required PPE procedures. Report damaged products, unsafe conditions, or inventory discrepancies to management. Qualifications Previous warehouse, loading/unloading, shipping/receiving, or general labor experience preferred but not required. Ability to work at a steady pace in a physically demanding environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift. Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to safely load and unload materials manually for extended period
