Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, primarily focusing on home care within the Rocklin, California area. You will interact closely with patients in their homes, allowing for a personalized approach to treatment that acknowledges the unique challenges patients face in their daily environments. Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions through various tests, including range of motion, muscle strength, and neurological evaluations, to gauge the extent of their impairments.

Develop customized treatment plans based on individual evaluations, physician recommendations, and agreed-upon patient goals, ensuring to adjust plans as needed in response to patient progress.

Administer direct care employing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including physical modalities (heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation) and manual therapy, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.

Provide patient education to clients and their families about physical therapy exercises, self-care strategies, and home programs that promote recovery and independence.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss treatment strategies, progress updates, and necessary adjustments, demonstrating the holistic nature of our patient care.

Supervise non-professional staff in delivering appropriate care to patients, ensuring that treatment standards are maintained throughout the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Firepower Rehab & Therapy Clinic, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This role is crucial in helping patients regain mobility, improve strength, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

Current, valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of California.

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, demonstrating a track record of effectively working with diverse patient needs.

A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions or adverse board decisions.

Expertise in manual therapy techniques and a proficiency in developing and leading personalized exercise regimens for patients.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a home care setting is advantageous, enhancing your ability to adapt treatment plans according to real-world patient environments.

Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to manage patient documentation efficiently.
