Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) provides high-quality patient care for adults in a MedSurg setting, focusing on safety, clinical documentation, and timely interventions. The role supports efficient workflow across nights while partnering with the care team to meet patient needs.

Deliver bedside nursing care to a MedSurg patient population, including assessment, monitoring, and follow-up.

Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.

Manage care plans and coordinate interventions to maintain continuity of care across shifts.

Document accurately in Cerner to support clinical communication and compliance.

Implement infection prevention practices and evidence-based safety measures for each patient.

Collaborate with charge nurses and the interdisciplinary team to ensure appropriate staffing support.

Hold an active RN license (WV or Compact), with pending license accepted for submission.

Complete NIH training requirements as required for the role.

Meet a minimum of 2 years of MedSurg or acute care RN experience.

Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner documentation workflows (modules as required).

Provide recent manager/charge nurse references within the past year.

Build expertise in adult inpatient MedSurg care while working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Strengthen clinical judgment through consistent night-shift workflow and interdisciplinary collaboration.
