URGENT Emergency Room Registered Travel Nurse Needed i

Overview
Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse assignment in Carmichael, CA. 1-2 years of recent acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, triage, and implement care according to correct procedures and physician instructions.

Provide care in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment.

Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs.

Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain patient vital signs, and monitor emotional and physical well-being.

Provide basic bedside care, wound care (clean and bandage), and IV therapy.

Maintain supplies and medical equipment.

Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

Physical and Professional Requirements
ER travel nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 20 pounds easily. Moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds. The fast-paced environment requires good coping skills with stress and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications
Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, 2 years of experience in acute care

Additional certifications: may be required before beginning an assignment.
