Maintenance MillwrightMaintenance Millwright's primary purpose is of installing, maintaining, upgrading, and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial establishment. This position is full time, 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and forklift trucks.Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and manufacturing equipment, using hand tools and power tools.Constructs foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, such as wood cement, and steelAlign machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb toolsAssemble machinery and bolts, welds, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power toolsMay operate lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specificationsRequired repair and lubricate machinery and equipmentSelects cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be movedAttaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains to crane hookSet up braces and rigs hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenchesMay direct workers engage in hoisting of machinery and equipmentIn addition, may perform all duties of general labor, skilled laborer and carpenterAble and willing to train othersOther duties as assignedCompetenciesGood at adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risksWorking knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals and blueprintsProficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issuesAbility to be a team playerWork EnvironmentTemperature- High temps between 80-100 degrees.
