Position Summary
In your role as an Equipment Engineer you’ll be responsible for documenting, trending, and sustaining the overall health of the PCS equipment fleet. The PCS equipment fleet includes dry vacuum pumps, heat‑exchanging chillers, chemical abatement scrubbers, and associated accessory equipment like gate valves, pipe heaters, and N2 injection systems. The core job tasks include identification of data sets that define equipment condition, organization of data trends to display the health of equipment via a real‑time dashboard, and creation of work processes and expectations to take action on fleet trends.

Also, you’ll be responsible to develop functional knowledge of all PCS equipment types and collaborate with each equipment team to monitor, control, and sustain fleet health using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.

Skills and Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll need:

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Process Engineering

3+ years of hands‑on experience with sub‑fab systems in semiconductor industry

Experience in other manufacturing environments with large quantities of equipment

Proficiency in data/statistical analytics

Experience with mechanical repair of equipment

Knowledge of common industrial sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, etc)

Proficiency with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concepts and how to implement them in industry.

All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite.

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
