Journeyman Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Journeyman Industrial ElectricianThe Journeyman Industrial Electrician will perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components. This role requires the person to replace and repair electrical equipment and devices as required. Must maintain a deep understanding of building code regulations to check and ensure compliance with the highest standards. Success in this role will be demonstrated by employing effective process controls to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical systems.Primary duties/responsibilities:Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components in accordance with local and national codes and regulationsDiagnoses and troubleshoot complex electrical problemsPerform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipmentTest electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning safely and efficientlyRead and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsWork with a team of electricians and others to complete projects on time.Qualification/skillset:Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprintsWorking knowledge of electrical codes and regulationsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical problemsStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spacesAbility to follow and execute instructions.Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.Education/experience:High school diploma or equivalentJourneyman electrician license or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical industryThe position requires physical activity such as reaching, bending, twisting, squatting, lifting 50 pounds or more, and standing for 8-12 hours daily.Full-time employees are eligible for insurance, holiday pay, paid vacation time, sick days, medical and paternal leave, and 401K with options.
