RN - Pool Emergency Room

Autonomous, collaborative, compassionate care in a Magnet designated, teaching hospital environment. At our 532-bed academic medical facility and teaching hospital, nurses are encouraged to grow in their profession, collaborate with physician partners and actively participate in the plan of care for acute and vulnerable patients throughout the hospital.

Unit Highlights

As a Float Pool Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care across multiple patient care units, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. You will work as a versatile member of our nursing team who adapts to different clinical settings, including but not limited to medical-surgical, telemetry, intermediate care, and boarding patients in our emergency department. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required. At least two full years of recent acute care, hospital-based clinical nursing (RN) experience required.

At least two full years of recent Intermediate Care/Stepdown ICU or Critical Care/ICU experience required. ICU experience preferred. Academic Medical Center experience preferred.

Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
