In this role, you will play a critical part in patient care by performing advanced assisting duties, supporting the dentist during complex procedures, and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. Valid Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification.
Current X-ray/Radiology certification.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in dental sterilization procedures and 4-handed dentistry.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience.
Provide high-level chairside assistance during examinations and complex dental procedures (Expanded Duties).
Greet patients, gather health backgrounds, and prepare treatment areas with necessary instruments and materials.
Imaging & Impressions: Take digital dental X-rays and prepare materials for crowns or dental impressions.
Sanitation: Follow strict aseptic and sterilization techniques to disinfect instruments and exam rooms between patients.
Counsel patients on proper oral hygiene habits and post-operative care.
Administrative Assistance: Manage patient records, handle phone inquiries, and assist with clerical tasks to optimize practice operations.
Inventory Management: Monitor supplies, restock treatment areas, and assist in maintaining inventory levels.
