Temporary Full Time Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse/ Health Services

Responsible for establishing, ensuring and supervising the office staff as well as procedures to maintain quality services and efficient operations.
Utilizes the nursing process effectively (assessing the patient and situation, identifying the problem, planning, implementing, and evaluating care through the health care continuum).

• Coordinates and completes patient assessment and re-assessment to positively impact on quality outcomes.
• Fosters a positive and pleasant environment, which promotes our shared PRIDE values.
• Promotes better patient outcomes by reviewing open gaps of care and coordinating closure of care gaps. Interacts directly with patients and team members, documents in Epic as appropriate. Recognizes emergency situations and acts appropriately. Clarifies physician orders as indicated. Maintains a safe environment for team members and patients/visitors: physical, psychological, and environmental. Demonstrates knowledge of medication and vaccine administration according to policy, carries out physician orders in an accurate and timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures, including but not limited to knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures. Identifies and reports all risk management issues in a timely manner.
• Responsible for phone management of patients. Triages phone calls utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills to evaluate the chief complaint and urgency of the problem. Triages phone calls to determine acuity to assist in scheduling appointments. Provides comprehensive medical record documentation. Documents all communications and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Participates in and/or organizes regular practice huddles, communicates effectively with team members and physicians; Functions as a resource/mentor and provides support to team members to resolve patient care and team concerns/issues.
• Consistently follows the Ambulatory Health Care National Patient Safety Goals.
• Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
• Documents patient's response to the ordered treatment protocol. Reports changes in a patient condition to the physician immediately. Verifies accuracy of order entry and transcription. Maintains competency in use of all needed information systems. Monitors quality dashboards for assigned provider/practice
• Performs other duties per operational needs of the assigned clinical practice area and within the scope of RN license.
• Supports the overall strategic goals of the clinical practice care area, AMG, the AHS hospital sites, Atlantic Visiting Nurse, and the system.

Capable of working in a fast- paced environment while maintaining aseptic technique and providing excellent safe patient care. Prior Ambulatory OR Medical/Surgical experience
