Field Service Engineering

Bio-Rad is seeking a Field Service Engineer who will perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on our Clinical Diagnostic instruments for customers within hospitals and laboratories based out of the West Palm Beach, FL area. As a Field Service Engineer, you may be asked to travel on short notice to help other team members within the region.

Whether a routine maintenance call or troubleshooting a problem and finding solutions, as our Field Service Engineer, you will play a leading role in supporting the onsite technical needs of Bio-Rad customers. In this highly autonomous role, you will spend the majority of your time at customer sites, with travel up to 5 days a week in your assigned territory as part of a national service team. It requires the ability to solve complex problems while maintaining strong relationships with our customers.
Performing repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad's instruments, ensuring the quality performance of our instruments for customers who are working to advance the future of healthcare.
Supporting and maintaining the Bio-Rad instruments on which our customers rely on to make scientific breakthroughs helping to advance healthcare research and treatments.
Building and sustaining strong relationships allows you to anticipate and advocate for our customers' needs.
By adhering to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements with detailed record keeping and service documentation helps protect Bio-Rad's integrity and reputation in the industry.
While the list of qualifications may help an employee to succeed in this position, capable candidates may have a wide range of backgrounds and skills. Education/Work Experience: At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.

This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
