Key Responsibilities
Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
Manage and care for patients requiring progressive and stepdown-level monitoring including cardiac telemetry
Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
Manage and maintain specialized equipment and interventions including chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience in a relevant clinical setting
Active Illinois RN state license required; Iowa RN state license required upon offer
BLS certification (AHA) required
ACLS certification (AHA) required
Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
Experience with medication titration including vasoactive and cardiac drips
Preferred Experience / Skills
Cardiac and open heart experience strongly preferred
At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
