CNC Programmers, 1st and 2nd shifts

Operation of a machine in a production shop environment working with steel materials for the production of railroad tracks and crossings.

We have an opening on 2nd shift. CNC Machine Operator pay starts at $22 with a $3 shift differential with a $1.00 INCREASE AT 1 YEAR. Quarterly Incentive Bonus for Production may be available is goals are met.

There is currently a day shift opening for a Machine Operator at our Trackwork manufacturing plant in Alorton, Illinois.

Overtime as needed - generally on Fridays approximately 7 hours)

Minimum 6 months of manufacturing and/or machine operator experience;

• work with minimal supervision;
• Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy;
• Strong attention to detail with ability to inspect rail using measuring devices;
• Must be quality oriented and a team player;

• Essential and Physical Activities Functions:

• Motion - Employee will stand for majority of the shift, will kneel, squat and climb step multiple times throughout the day;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements - Must be able to hear and see parts as they are machined, looking and listening for deficiencies and machinery malfunctions. Position is exposed to oils, lubricants and other substances used in the machining process;
• Requires decisions on the proper operation of machine;
• Position requires following all safety procedures, policies and PPE requirements such that include hand, head, eye, hand, ear and foot protection.
