Locums - Westminster, Colorado, GI Hospitalist Opening

Coverage Dates: All coverage stints end the following morning at 7:00 AM.

October 19-25, 2026

October 25 - November 1, 2026

November 9-15, 2026

November 16-22, 2026

November 30 - December 6, 2026

December 14-20, 2026

Ongoing coverage beginning January 2027 as future schedules are released.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM onsite coverage 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM night call. Saturday - Sunday 24-hour call (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM). Approximately 3-4 weeks of coverage per month.

Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital Emergency Department Call Coverage Trauma Level III.

Coverage Responsibilities: Provide inpatient Gastroenterology consultations Emergency Department GI consultations Acute inpatient GI coverage Call coverage for emergent and urgent GI cases.

Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric patients.

Patient Volume: Approximately 2-3 patients per day requiring procedures Approximately 2-3 ICU GI bleeds per week.

Required Procedures: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) Emergency Department and inpatient GI consultations.

Facility Information: 185-bed hospital.

Support Staff: Registered Nurses (RN) X-Ray Technicians Dedicated GI nursing team On-call Anesthesia team for emergent and urgent evening/weekend procedures.

Reason for Coverage: Coverage gaps.

Requirements: Board Certified Gastroenterology required Active Colorado license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) required at the time of submission Active DEA highly preferred and required for credentialing Transferred DEA accepted but must remain active for the duration of the assignment Candidates must be able to perform ERCP and this must be clearly noted in the presentation.

EMR: Epic.

EMR Training Requirements: Completion of Epic learning modules is required prior to virtual EMR training Virtual Epic training must be completed at least one week before the first day of the assignment First-day details will not be released until all required Epic training has been completed.
