Position Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at St. Catherine, you will provide direct nursing care and support to residents in a long term care setting. You will work under the direction of registered nurses and physicians to ensure residents receive safe, high quality, and compassionate care.

You will play a key role in assessing resident needs, administering medications, supporting care planning, and supervising CNAs to ensure care is delivered with dignity, consistency, and respect.

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines

Administer medications and treatments as ordered and document accurately

Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to the RN or physician

Assist with assessments and contribute to care planning and updates

Supervise and support CNAs to ensure quality resident care

Perform wound care and other skilled nursing procedures as permitted

Document care, observations, and interventions in the electronic medical record

Respond to resident needs and clinical situations in a timely and professional manner

Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team

Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and independence

What We Are Looking For

Active LPN license in the State of North Dakota in good standing

Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

Compassionate, patient centered approach to care

Ability to work effectively in a team based clinical environment

Strong communication and documentation skills

Comfort with electronic medical records systems

Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work assigned shifts including weekends and holidays

Work Environment

This role is based in a long-term care setting where you will work closely with residents, families, CNAs, RNs, and other healthcare professionals. The environment is fast paced, hands on, and team driven with frequent changes in resident needs and priorities.

Physical Requirements Summary

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift

Ability to assist with resident transfers and mobility support

Occasional lifting of up to 50 to 100 pounds with assistance or equipment

Ability to respond quickly in clinical or emergency situationsVisual, auditory, and manual dexterity required for patient care and documentation
