Local Occupational Therapist

Main facility location: This role requires you to travel locally to our facilities located around the Dearborn Heights, MI area.

This role requires you to travel locally to our facilities located within a 30 mile radius or less from your home.

Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday

Provides therapy treatment to patients according to the established treatment plan under the supervision of the Director of Therapy. Contributes to the development, implementation of, and progression of patient treatment and modifies treatment as necessary. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.

Provides physical therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards for the state of Michigan or Ohio.

Provides documentation to maintain the quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care and reimbursement guidelines.

Assures delivery of quality care.

Participates in the discharge planning process to ensure continued patient care as needed and provide patient and family instruction.

Maintains the clinical expertise of the therapist through continuing education.

Represents the Occupational Therapy Department to family, visitors, and personnel and attends care conferences as requested.

Secures equipment for patients and department supplies as needed.

Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.
