Registered Nurse – Wound Care (Full Time) Position Summary: Registered Nurse - Wound Care Full-Time; 4 Days a Week 8:30a - 5:00p. The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

Responsibilities The Registered Nurse plans, assesses, intervenes, and evaluates patient care with an outcome focused approach from the initial assessment of patient, through routine ongoing assessment, to implementation of interventions as indicated, until and through the discharge of the patient. This includes involving the patient, family, provider, and other members of the care team; reviewing and documenting care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care; following the professional standards of care; applying evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices; and communicating with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Requirements Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.

Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications Recent experience in specialty preferred.

Wound Care Certification preferred.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
