Summary The primary role of this position is to operate line equipment and transfer finished products off the production floor.
Responsibilities Operate production line equipment without supervision
Operate date coders and labelers
Assist in line change‑overs and set‑ups
Police work area and machinery as needed
Maintain a clean work area by sweeping, mopping floors and wiping down machinery as needed and at the end of shift
Monitor and report on food quality and safety issues
Continually monitor the facility for security measures or breaches
Responsible for insuring proper packaging, coding, labeling and pallet configuration of shipments
Act in a safe manner at all times and advise supervision of any safety issues
Responsible for all HACCP, quality and production documentation applicable to the position
Assist other departments as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Qualifications At least 1 year prior machine operation experience preferred
Able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
May be required to stoop and or climb as needed
