We're looking for machinists who can set up CNC mills independently and are comfortable with conversational programming.Area: Cincinnati, OH areaShift: 1st Shift preferred; 2nd and 3rd Shift also availablePay: $27–$35/hourType: Direct HireShift Options1st Shift: Primary hiring need2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AMPerksDirect hire opportunityWork on a variety of custom machining projectsHigh-mix, job-shop environmentOpportunity to use and develop programming and setup skillsPotential for multiple openingsThe RequirementsPrior experience setting up and operating CNC milling machinesConversational CNC programming experience is requiredHaas mill experience is strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprintsKnowledge of G & M codes is a major plusAbility to use precision measuring equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsIntermediate math skills, including algebra and trigonometryBasic computer skillsStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to work independently and meet daily production expectationsWillingness to provide basic personal tools such as calipersThe Daily DutiesSet up CNC mills safely and efficientlyInstall and adjust tooling, collets, bushings, fixtures, stops, and other setup componentsIndicate vices and tram machine heads as requiredProgram and adjust CNC machines using conversational controlsLoad material and operate milling equipmentVerify first-run and sample parts using precision measurementsMonitor drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and threading operations as applicableAdjust offsets, tooling, and machine controls to maintain specificationsTroubleshoot machining and equipment issuesSharpen and replace worn toolingDocument production and quality informationHelp guide and mentor Mill Operators and ApprenticesMaintain a clean and organized 6S work areaFollow all safety and quality procedures
