Corporate Transactional Associate Attorney Westlake Village, CA | Hybrid | 3 Days in Office

I’m recruiting for an established boutique business law firm in Westlake Village, California that is seeking a Corporate Transactional Associate Attorney with approximately 3-5 years of corporate/M&A transactional experience.

This is an opportunity to join a sophisticated business-focused practice where attorneys work closely with business owners and executives on meaningful transactions and ongoing corporate matters.

The firm has a long-standing presence in the Conejo Valley and has built its practice around sophisticated legal work combined with highly personalized client service.

The Opportunity The Corporate practice handles a broad range of sophisticated transactional matters, including:

Business transactions

Financing and capital-raising transactions

Private equity-related transactions

The role will provide exposure to middle-market M&A transactions, including transactions in the $30M-$40M range , as well as ongoing corporate and outside-general-counsel work.

What you’ll do Advise clients on corporate and transactional matters

Draft and negotiate agreements related to M&A and other business transactions

Assist with due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and closing

Work directly with business owners, executives, and other advisors

Support clients through the full lifecycle of transactions

Develop meaningful client relationships and business-law experience

What we’re looking for 3-5 years of attorney experience focused on corporate/M&A transactional work

Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

Experience handling corporate and/or M&A transactions

Ability to manage matters with increasing levels of responsibility

Strong interest in working with businesses and their owners

Ties to the Conejo Valley / local Westlake Village area strongly preferred

Salary and other compensation The annual salary for this position is between [$175,000 - $250,000] Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Compensation & Bonus Opportunity In addition to base compensation, this position offers additional earning potential through billable-hour and origination bonuses.

The billable-hour bonus structure provides increasing compensation for hours billed above the annual target, while the origination bonus provides additional compensation based on collected fees from originated business.
