Remote- Systems Engineering -

Lockheed Martin is on the front line of global security, operating, maintaining, and sustaining an Integrated Air and Missile Defense system for a key U.S. international defense partner. In this mission-critical role we assure 24/7 system readiness, enabling our ally to protect its airspace, safeguard lives, and maintain regional stability.
As a Network Engineer on this program you will:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and network gear in deployable communication kits.
• Monitor LAN/WAN performance, troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and packet-loss issues, and provide on-call support for critical events.
• Implement core networking technologies (VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE tunnels, multicast) and contribute to design reviews, upgrades, and project deployments.
• Work closely with other engineers to craft network architectures and execute field installations, which may include travel to remote sites and independent troubleshooting.
• Mentor and guide junior network engineers

You are a senior-level network engineer with at least ten years of hands-on experience designing, testing, and supporting multi-vendor LAN/WAN environments. Strong expertise with firewalls, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and multicast traffic.

• Proven ability to perform root-cause analysis, document resolutions, and create clear technical reports and presentations (PowerPoint, Visio).
• Required certifications, an active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a passport for international travel.

• Experience with hands-on configuration of Protocols such as MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Multicast, QoS, STP, VTP and VLAN's, Gateway Redundancy Protocols like HSRP, VRRP, and GLRP
• Experience with VLSM CIDR IP addressing design and implementation
• Experience with configuration of encryption and security solutions such as IPSec, VPN, Suite B, firewall rules, access control lists.
• Integration of Network Devices with centralized Network Services such as LDAP, DNS, DHCP, and Certificate Authorities
• Implementation experience of Network Management concepts within network devices such as SNMPv3, Syslog, OID filtering
• Implementation experience of Facility switch aggregation and Data Center network design patterns
• Experience with Network troubleshooting techniques (CLI-based) and tools (Wireshark, tcpdump etc.)
• Experience/knowledge of the complete range of network design drawings used for specification, fabrication, assembly, wiring, inspection, and installation of equipment

Experience with secure and reliable networks and
network management

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years or more of professional experience; Experience with Juniper network devices like MX, SRX, EX Juniper series devices
• Experience with an IP network infrastructure to support tactical systems
• Experience with documentation of engineering artifacts in support of site configurations and installations
• Experience with Network Management protocols and tools
