Registered Respiratory Therapist

Coordinates respiratory care to identified patients in designated areas of practice. Utilizes delegation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Participates in the communication network with appropriate members of the health care team. Routinely demonstrates leadership capabilities through performance via team leading, prioritizing, delegating, and the use of critical thinking. Assumes professional responsibility and accountability for outcomes of respiratory care. Demonstrates the ability to integrate respiratory therapy theory into practice. Displays competency for the Registered Respiratory Therapist role as evidenced in the annual performance appraisal. Delivers respiratory care to identified patients in designated areas of practice to achieve optimal patient outcomes with minimal supervision. Other duties may be assigned. While performing this job, the employee may care for patients in various age groups including neonates, infants, early childhood, late childhood, adolescents, young adults, middle adults, and older adults.
