Head of Development & Fundraising

Development ManagerWe are seeking a Development Manager to support fundraising, grant development, and donor relations initiatives across multiple programs and regions within the organization. This role plays a key part in identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to strengthen the organization's development efforts.The position reports to the Chief Development and Communications Officer within the Development & Communications Department.Key Responsibilities:Research potential major donors, foundations, corporations, and government funding opportunitiesIdentify and track funding opportunities and RFPsPrepare grant applications, proposals, and letters of inquiryCoordinate funding applications across programs and regionsReview and edit fundraising proposals and grant applicationsMaintain accurate records of funding submissions and outcomes using fundraising databasesSupport fundraising events and development initiativesCompile annual Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) allocation requestsCollaborate with internal program managers and development teams to align funding strategiesCollaborate with regional program staff, development and communications teams, foundations and corporate donors, government agencies, and internal program managers to support fundraising and grant initiativesQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field3–5 years of experience in development, fundraising, or related workMinimum 3+ years of direct nonprofit fundraising or development experienceExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skillsStrong organizational and project management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesStrong research and analytical skillsProficiency with Microsoft OfficeExperience with fundraising databases such as Raiser's Edge NXTExcellent communication and collaboration skills
