LASER OPERATOR / SHEET METAL FABRICATIONJ&K Commercial ConstructionJ&K Commercial Construction is expanding our stainless steel and sheet metal manufacturing division, and we’re looking for an experienced, dependable Laser Operator to join our team.Previous laser cutting machine experience is required for this position. We are looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of laser operation and wants the opportunity to expand their skills, learn additional fabrication equipment, and build a long-term career with a growing company.WHAT YOU’LL DOOperate sheet and tube laser cutting equipmentLoad and unload materialSet up and monitor laser cutting operationsRead and understand blueprints and fabrication drawingsInspect finished parts for accuracy and qualityDeburr and prepare laser-cut components for fabricationAssist press brake operators when neededMaintain an organized and efficient work areaWork with our fabrication team to keep projects movingLearn additional fabrication processes and equipment as your skills developWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORLaser cutting machine experience is required.Ideal candidates will also have:Sheet metal or metal fabrication experienceBasic mechanical aptitudeAbility to read a tape measure and understand dimensionsAbility to read and interpret fabrication drawingsStrong attention to detailDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work effectively as part of a teamWillingness to learn new equipment and processesAbility to lift at least 50 lbs.Willingness to obtain forklift, industrial safety, and CPR certifications after hireWe value employees who take pride in their work, are dependable, and want to continue developing their fabrication skills.PAY & BENEFITS$18.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualificationsBenefits include:Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k)Paid holidaysVacation payEmployee bonusesOvertime opportunitiesOn-the-job trainingCross-training and advancement opportunitiesSCHEDULEMonday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMOvertime opportunities are available and may occasionally be required depending on workload.WHY J&K?We’re looking for more than someone to simply operate one machine every day.
