You will leverage expertise in thermo-mechanical design, electromechanical components, materials, and fabrication practices to deliver durable, efficient, and innovative solutions.A key responsibility includes providing support to manufacturing, sales, and customers, ensuring timely technical input to secure new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.What You Will Do:Lead mechanical design and packaging of Spellman products.Create and validate designs using CAD and analysis tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys).Perform engineering calculations for mechanical and thermal stresses.Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to optimize design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability (DFX principles).Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation, including 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and specifications.Mentor and support Mechanical Engineers during new product development projects.What You Need:BS in Mechanical Engineering required; 7-10 years of experience in power electronics packaging and electromechanical systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Ansys, or similar CAD/FEA tools.Strong knowledge of electromechanical components and mechanical housing fabrication (sheet metal, weldments, fasteners); casting and plastic molding experience a plus.This role requires on-site presence at Spellman High Voltage headquarters in Hauppauge, NY, and relocation assistance is available.#LI-OnsiteWe at Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation believe that each individual is entitled to equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, national origin, age, veteran status or disability.
