Stewarding Supervisor

Supervising the day to day activities of all stewarding team members. Maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition according to established sanitation and service standards.

Essential Job Functions:

Inspects kitchens and storerooms to ensure that premises and equipment are clean and sanitary

Coordinates and assigns tasks to stewards in all kitchen and Back of House areas

Responsible for supervising the day to day activities of all stewarding team members during their shift, ensuring all job duties are performed according to established company policies plus removal of oil.

Responsible for the daily operation of the Team Member Dining Room, including proper staffing of team members, cleanliness.

Communicates any problems or concerns to the Stewarding Manager or other departments as needed.

Works with service leaders to ensure open communication throughout the shift

Resolves team members issues or disputes as they arise

Ensure that all team members are treated in a fair and consistent manner

Trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies, and programs

Performs all other duties and completes all projects as assigned by the Stewarding Manager and F&B Department leaders

Supervises team members

Scrapes food from dirty dishes.

Place tableware in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.

Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.

Washes pots, pans, and other cooking utensils and equipment.

Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.

Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.

Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.

Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.

Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

Follows sanitation and safety guidelines.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least six months related experience or training preferred.

Must be available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.

Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Regularly required to see, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear for 8 hours.

Occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.

Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.

Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor under noisy and fast paced working conditions.

Ability to work in a noisy and smoky environment.
