Junior Attorney (Remote)

Job Title: Junior Attorney

Locations: Washington, D.C. Area (Preferred) or Overland Park, KS (Hybrid / Non-remote)

Role Summary We are seeking a Junior Attorney (2-5 years of experience) to support our growing Legal Department. Working under our General Counsel’s leadership, you will manage federal contracting matters and help streamline operations by transferring non-legal administrative tasks to business teams.

Key Responsibilities Federal Contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate U.S. Federal Government contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and teaming agreements.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to FAR and DFAR provisions across all procurement activities.

Process Optimization: Help identify, map, and transition administrative/non-core legal tasks to appropriate business units to boost efficiency.

Risk Management: Evaluate government RFPs/RFQs to identify regulatory risks and advise program teams on mitigation.

Subcontract Management: Flow down required FAR/DFAR clauses to vendors and ensure supply-chain compliance.

Qualifications Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience strictly handling Federal Government contracts (FAR / DFAR). Commercial-only experience will not qualify.

Education: J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing.

Location: Ability to work hybrid/on-site in our Washington, D.C. area (preferred) or Overland Park, KS office- moving to Olathe, KS by end of year. There will be 10-25% travel as needed, primarily domestic, some international.
