Full-Time: Must be able to work weekends

Position Scope: The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning areas as assigned and requested throughout the community. These areas may be resident homes, public areas, or staff areas.

Cleans and maintains assigned areas, including public areas and resident rooms.

Report, turn in and log all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Manager.

Vacuums carpeted areas and mops tile floors.

Spot cleans walls and windows.

Dusts furniture and empties trash cans.

Assists with activity room set-ups, which may require moving furniture.

Must have a strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to speak, read and write.

Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.

General knowledge of housekeeping.

Ability to use all required equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and vendors.

Hear - Must be able to hear telephone, audible alarms, bells, and signals related to resident safety with or without hearing devices.

Speech/Language – must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret medical and administration information.
