Assists leadership in overall financial management of the hospital. Manages staff performance and department responsibilities in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures. Coordinates all audits, including internal, external, and regulatory audits. Approves, facilitates, and maintains department policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement programs, and safety standards. Prepares or directs the compilation of data and the preparation of financial and operating reports, including annual budget, third-party reimbursement, account reconciliations, audit reports, equipment, construction, and facility reports. Advises administration regarding any adverse fiscal trends and oversees annual inventory counts for various departments. Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint [Required]
Skill set to compile and analyze financial information for financial decision making, organize and present the analysis and recommendations to management in a written or oral format. [Ability to coordinate the development, implementation and deployment of strategic information to assist the organization's overall performance. [Ability to work in a project-oriented environment that is fast paced with individuals across the organization. [Working knowledge of healthcare accounting methods and reporting, standards development, costing methodologies, utilization measurements, and financial modeling. [Demonstrates professionalism in both quality of work and relationships, interpersonal skills for small and large group settings. [Knowledge of database networks and other financial resources/software, including PeopleSoft [Preferred]
Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles [Preferred]

Field of Study:

Work Experience:

• 3+ of applicable healthcare financial management experience, including operational involvement and/or project management [Preferred]
• 5+ hospital accounting experience [Required]
