RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. 750 referral bonus available.
RN - PCU Stepdown
Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

• 6-week scheduling process managed by unit schedulers
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• First week classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific training
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
• Float to Med/Surg and other hospital areas including ICU/ED based on abilities
• Care for adult patients including mixed medical/surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients
• Work with specialty equipment including code carts, LUCAS machines, Hoyer lifts, and sit-and-stand equipment
• High-flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Epic charting system used
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This healthcare organization operates a 28-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) that serves as a stepdown unit for patients requiring intermediate care between intensive care and general medical floors. The facility maintains a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and provides comprehensive cardiac and stroke care services. The unit features modern telemetry monitoring capabilities and maintains high standards for patient safety and quality care delivery.
