Job Title:Manager, FacilitiesReports to:Director, FacilitiesLocation: Goleta, CA - In-OfficeThe RoleAs the Manager, Facilities, you will oversee maintenance and housekeeping operations for our multi-building corporate campus. You’ll ensure all buildings are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, cleanliness, and appearance—supporting an environmentally sustainable, productive, and professional environment for employees, clients, and visitors. You’ll provide leadership to maintenance and housekeeping teams, develop preventative maintenance programs, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, champion sustainability practices, and manage vendor and contractor relationships. Your ImpactLead, coach, and mentor maintenance and housekeeping staff, fostering accountability and high performance Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management for all direct reportsEstablish housekeeping standards, schedules, and quality assurance proceduresOversee daily operations of maintenance across all buildings and campus grounds Ensure functionality of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systemsDevelop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and inspection programsManage Opex/Capital projects for equipment upgrades in coordination with leadership and contractorsLead safety inspections, emergency preparedness drills, and corrective action plans Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, fire safety, and environmental regulationsMaintain records for audits, inspections, and compliance reportingDevelop training programs to improve technical knowledge and safety awarenessDevelop and manage annual maintenance and housekeeping budgets Control costs while maintaining the highest possible standardsDevelop 3-5-year capital equipment budget requirementsConduct quarterly budget reviewsAlign with Deckers Sustainability team to track and report all Facilities-related utility usage and sustainability metrics Support global facilities and other functions with ad hoc requests or continuous improvement opportunitiesConduct quarterly sustainability reviewsWho You AreBachelor’s degree and/or Associate of Science Degree (technical/trade school a plus)IFMA Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) and CPR/First Aid - AED certifications are a plus5+ years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/management rolePossess strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety)Experienced in overseeing housekeeping and janitorial services in a large facility or multi-building environmentProven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and capital projectsDemonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAble to manage multiple buildings and teams while maintaining high standardsInspire, motivate, and develop high-performing staffProactively ensure a safe, compliant, sustainable, and risk-free environmentBalance day-to-day needs with long-term planning and cost managementMaintain a professional, responsive, and solutions-focused approachLead, manage, coach, develop, and mentor team members in a fast-paced campus environmentExcel at project management and leading cross-functional teamsSubject matter expert on maintenance management programs, risk mitigation, and safetyProficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced in facilities maintenance budget modeling using information systems (Excel, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)Available on call 24/7 and able to respond to emergency situations as neededWilling to work occasional evenings and weekends to support special events or operational needsServe as first responder for campus emergenciesWhat We'll Give You - Competitive Pay and Bonuses - We’ve created a variety of competitive compensation programs to foster career development, reward success and to show our employees just how much they’re valued.Financial Planning and wellbeing - No matter what financial goals our employees have set, we want to help them get there.
