Position: CNC Mill Machinist Setup Operator 5 Axis Milling We are a manufacturer of precision machined parts with an opening for a CNC Mill Machinist to Setup and operate 5 axis CNC Mills. Our parts that we manufacture are close tolerance and are sold to the Aerospace industry. We have a full-time permanent position, first shift weekdays at our Anaheim facility.
Duties Interpret mechanical parts blueprints and work instructions.
Consult with the CNC Programming team to determine best part machining plan
Give recommendations, best practice suggestions to planning, tooling, cutters to use
Using supplied program, Setup and adjust CNC mills. Setup machine, proof out the program and process, inspect parts, Load and run parts, change cutting tools, make offsets and adjustments.
Inspect work pieces during production. Complete inspection documents. Measure parts using micrometers, calipers and other measuring equipment to ensure quality
Meet production goals, Track parts counts, update data entry time keeping stations.
Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience as a CNC Mill machinist.
Functional communication skills In English
Ability to make offset adjustments, replace cutting tools.
Setup fixtures, load program, setup and validate parts. Run production.
Perform G-Code programming and modifications.
Must be able to inspect parts using mics, calipers, and other related instruments.
Experience Experience machining aircraft grade alloys and heat-treated materials.
Mori Seiki, Mazak Fanuc or Siemens controls experience is desired.
Mastercam Mill programming knowledge is helpful.
Must be a US citizen or equivalent for US Govt defense contract ITAR compliance.
Must have a mechanical aptitude and prior machine shop experience is preferred.
Full-time position in a clean air-conditioned facility
Monday thru Thursday, four Tens work shift 40 hours with possibility to also work OT on Fridays.
