Systems Engineering Management Planning

Sentinel is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support and enhance our clients on‑premise infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in SAN storage , virtualization , and infrastructure management , along with working knowledge of networking and exposure to AWS . This position is contract to hire located in Troy, MI.

Manage and maintain on‑premises infrastructure including servers, hosts, clusters, and virtual machines

Oversee and troubleshoot virtualization environments (VMware or similar)

Support and optimize storage architecture and capacity planning

Administer switches and networking components; strong networking understanding is essential

Collaborate with internal engineering partners on shared responsibilities

Participate in occasional travel for special projects (rare)

5‑7+ years of hands‑on experience with SAN equipment and storage technologies

Strong experience managing virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar)

Solid understanding of networking, switching, and related infrastructure

Experience with AWS (a few years minimum)
