General Liability Defense Attorney (3-5 Years Insurance Defense Experience)
We are a legal consulting and recruiting company that partners with leading law firms across the United States to connect them with exceptional legal talent. One of our clients, a well-established and growing law firm in Los Angeles, California, is seeking a General Liability Defense Attorney with 3-5 years of direct insurance defense experience to join their litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated litigation matters while growing their career in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The General Liability Defense Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate has experience representing insurance carriers and insured clients in civil litigation, possesses strong analytical and advocacy skills, and is comfortable handling cases independently while collaborating with a team of experienced litigators.
Manage a caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters.
Represent insurance carriers, businesses, and insured clients throughout all phases of litigation.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation exposure.
Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with litigation deadlines.

3-5 years of direct insurance defense experience (required).
Experience handling general liability litigation from inception through resolution.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
Ability to independently manage multiple litigation matters in a deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with legal case management and billing software.
Experience working in a fast-paced insurance defense practice.
Strong litigation and case management skills.
Excellent legal writing and analytical abilities.
Effective negotiation and advocacy skills.
