Part-Time Health Specialist Nurse

Location New York, New York
Shift Day shift (2-10 hour shifts per week, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with flexibility)
Description The Lactation Specialist will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families, support quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives, and serve as a preceptor for new staff and students.
Responsibilities Direct provision of effective lactation support and nursing care to patients and significant others.
Educate staff and patients on lactation practices.
Support QA and QI initiatives.
Act as a preceptor, providing a professional role model for new staff and students.
Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Lactation Consultant or Specialist.
Excellent communication skills, leadership, and teaching potential.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Current New York State Registered Nurse license (or willingness to obtain).
IBCLC certification.
Minimum one year acute care RN experience in women’s health or NICU.
Previous lactation experience.
BCLS certification.
Hours Part-time, 2-10 hour shifts per week, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with flexibility; 2 weekend shifts per month and rotating holidays.
Salary $140,200-$168,000 per annum.
