Mental Health Counselor - Overnight Shift and/or Weekends

At Tree House North , we don't just "provide services" - we provide hope. As a short‑term crisis residential program in partnership with Orange County Health Care Authority, we are the safety net for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. Our goal is simple but profound: stabilize, support, and help our members return to their lives without the need for inpatient hospitalization.

As a Residential Counselor , you are the heartbeat of the program. You build the bridge that helps someone move from crisis to stability.

Shifts Available: On‑Call | AM/PM/Overnight | Shifts and days vary as needed

Tree House North in Anaheim and Tree House South in Mission Viejo . This dual‑site model offers our on‑call team greater shift variety and more opportunities to pick up hours.

Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. High School graduation or a G.At least one (1) year of direct service experience in a mental health setting

Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.

Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.

Paid Time Off: Eligible employees (20+ hours/week) earn PTO every pay period for vacation and personal needs, with pro-rated accrual for part‑time schedules and annual carryover up to set caps.

Nine Paid Holidays & shift differentials for hourly staff (6% for PM shift, 10% for Overnight shift). Weekend shift differentials for hourly staff (5% for Weekend AM shift, 11% for Weekend PM shift, 15% for Weekend Overnight shift).

Tree House North is a short‑term crisis residential program, which works in collaboration with the Orange County Health Care Authority (OCHCA). It will assist members within Orange County who are experiencing acute mental health crisis and need additional assistance in stabilizing their current level of functioning without resulting in the member being admitted to any inpatient or higher level of care facility or program.
