Direct Support Professional, Overnight Part Time

Job Details Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Methuen, MA (Group Home Setting)
Location: Methuen, MA 01844
Employment Type: Part‑time (25+ hours per week) with benefit eligibility from date of hire.
Schedule: Wednesday - Friday 9:00‑4:00, Saturday 9:00‑8:00, Sunday 9:00‑3:00.
Hourly Rate: $21.00 (non‑exempt). Union member of SEIU Local 509.
Group Home Details Provide direct care and support to 4 residents aged 22 and up, assisting with activities of daily living, transportation with wheelchair vans, and overnight wellness checks.
Job Responsibilities Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, transfers, and meal preparation.
Assist with heavy lifting and drive wheelchair‑accessible vehicles to transport residents to appointments, community events, or recreational activities.
Complete Individual Support Plans (ISP) to help residents achieve personal goals and promote independence.
Complete daily logs and notes, track behavioral data.
Additional Responsibilities Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate documentation.
Provide companionship, mentorship, and redirect behaviors.
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive residential program.
Uphold residents’ rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
Maintain appropriate staff‑to‑resident ratio, manage finances, and provide home management.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficient reading, writing, and comprehension of English for accurate documentation and communication.
Experience in providing training, case management, and service delivery to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification (training offered within 6 months).
CPR/First Aid certification (training offered within 3 months).
Valid driver’s license with a minimum of one year of driving experience.
