Registered Nurse (RN) - Respiratory ICU - Full Time

About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU provides comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in critical care environments and possess strong collaboration and leadership skills.
Facility: Northwell Health
Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift
What You'll Do Assess the patient's physiologic health status through interviews and chart reviews.
Evaluate gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health.
Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition to adjust care plans.
Communicate and document patient's health status and care plans.
Elicit patient perceptions and expectations of care.
Formulate and document the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Implement the plan of care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; must enroll in an accredited program within 24 months if hired after January 1, 2013.
Documented Critical Care experience required.
Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
