Hourly Buyer Assistant

The Buyer Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Procurement team with purchase orders, inventory tracking, reporting, vendor communication, and other administrative purchasing tasks. This role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of data and orders.

Location: Swedesboro, NJ - Onsite
Salary: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing Support:

Support Buyers with day-to-day purchasing activities.

Prepare and process purchase orders.

Review orders for accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.

Follow up with vendors regarding orders and shipments.

Inventory & Orders:

Monitor inventory levels and material needs.

Track upcoming deliveries and help ensure materials are available for production.

Expedite, delay, or modify purchase orders as needed.

Excel & Reporting:

Run reports and manage large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel.

Update item and purchasing information.

Use VLOOKUP and other Excel functions.

Email purchase orders to suppliers and follow up on deliveries.

Communicate with vendors regarding changes, issues, or concerns.

Work with Logistics and other departments on late or changing orders.

Administrative Support:

Review invoices for pricing and receiving discrepancies.

Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.

Assist the Procurement team with various administrative tasks.

Requirements

2+ years of Excel experience

Strong data entry and administrative skills

Purchasing, buying, or purchase order experience preferred

Finance or office management experience is a plus

ERP experience is a plus

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage a high volume of data and tasks
