Temporary Employment Attorney

Position: Transactional Attorney Location: Chicago, IL

I’m currently recruiting for a Transactional Attorney opportunity with an established Chicago law firm seeking an attorney with strong corporate and commercial transaction experience.
This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value matters advising entrepreneurs, developers, investors, lenders, closely held businesses, and established companies.

Role Overview:
The attorney will handle a range of M&A, corporate, commercial real estate, private equity, and business transactions, with significant responsibility for drafting, negotiating, and independently managing matters while collaborating with attorneys across multiple practice areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Handle mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions
Draft, review and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements
Assist with business formations, restructurings and corporate governance
Handle commercial real estate transactions
Work on financing and lending matters
Conduct due diligence and review transaction-related documents
Prepare corporate resolutions, disclosure schedules and other transaction documents
Independently manage assigned matters from beginning through completion

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Illinois Bar admission
• 4+ years of substantive transactional experience
• Strong experience with corporate/M&A and commercial transactions
• Experience with commercial real estate, private equity, lending or related transactional work is highly valued
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

Billable: 1,850 Billable Hours

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 – $200,000 annually . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful
