Job Description:

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts various tasks within the bakery. The Bakery Clerk offers friendly, courteous, and helpful service, assists customers with bakery purchases, cleans shelving and display cases, fills and rotates self‑serve displays, takes special orders, and coordinates with the Baker on decorating and baking items. The position also assists in department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water.

Responsibilities:

Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.

Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.

Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Requirements:

Basic PC/Outlook skills.

Retail Management Certificate.

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification.
