Full Time: Systems Engineering Senior

We are looking for an enterprising mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.

This position is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026 Clearance An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Candidates may be required to obtain a Top Secret clearance after beginning this work. Requirements At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities

Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software

Responsibilities Develop and maintain software requirements

Review and evaluate vendor software specifications

Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration

Conduct analysis of software defects

Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)

Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process

Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes

Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)

Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals

Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, MBSE, or systems safety & reliability

Experience with Agile software development processes

Compensation Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
